 Our Driving Force Dear Friends,  My name is Nick Lawrence. I am the producer of the Health Fair Sampler. My wife, Donna, is my Business Manager. We have run several businesses together in the course of our 18 year marriage, helped raise nine children (one our own, five foster children, two who just showed up on our door step and one adopted), and have trained and bred Arabian horses. I am a long-time educator, teacher educator, personal growth, business and communication trainer, and hold a Masters Degree in Organizational Management. Donna has a diverse background in accounting and business services. She is a 20+ year high-end bookkeeper, Quickbook expert, and has served as CFO of a multimillion dollar international fitness product company.  We are devout humanitarians. As such, we deeply respect each and every human being we encounter. It is our place in this world to act as a bridge, helping people connect with one another through our professional and spiritual callings, fueled by integrity and knowledge, tempered by loving acts of kindness and compassion. We are also deeply spiritual. Deeply rooted in our spirituality is the Practice of Gratitude. We like to "Thank God" frequently for all of the people with whom we share our lives and the opportunities we find to be in service. The Health Fair Sampler is our personal outreach; It is our way of helping people make the necessary connections that help sustain and nurture each person as we continue to unfold as human beings. It is our belief that human beings are complex beings with special needs and tastes on many levels. This is why the Health Fair Sampler is an eclectic blend of practitioners, vendors and sponsors, ranging from massage and other healing arts to credit counseling to solar paneling to ministers from diverse religious and spiritual practices to pet grooming to... How it all started:  About twenty years ago I was deeply touched by a lecture on spirituality.The lecturer spoke about how a human being is like a rose, with many petals. Each petal represents an aspect of the human being: family, work, home, relationships, finance, pets, creativity, spirituality, etc. He warned us not to place spirituality (or any one petal) above any thing else. If we did we might very well end up with one vibrant petal, but not a rose! What splendor we would surely lose in our world without fully blossoming roses, orchids, lotuses, hydrangeas, sunflowers, dahlias and.....!
